Tips to upload documents and get verified
When you create a PLUG’D merchant account, we verify the business and personal information. You may be asked to provide documents to support our verification process. In the event you need to provide documents, this page provides guidance to successfully upload documents that may be required for verification.
In order to become a PLUG’D Driver, you’ll need to complete these steps:
1. Use this link to start signing up!
Enter your email address, phone number, and zip code to register.
2. Submit your profile information (full name and password).
3. Select your vehicle type.
o If you select a car, you will be asked to add your vehicle details and Proof of Insurance.
4. Complete an identity verification process to help ensure that you are you.
o Upload a valid government ID
o Take a selfie to match the picture on the ID
5. Submit a background check. To help ensure the continued safety and security of all members of our community, PLUG’D uses Checkr as its third-party provider to run secure background checks on all PLUG’D Drivers.
Background checks consist of the following:
Motor Vehicle Report (if you have indicated that you will be using a motor vehicle to dash)
Most background checks complete within a day, but some can take up to a week or longer. Refresh your browser to see if there’s any update.
6. Connect your preferred payout method to receive your earnings. Payouts are processed every 24-48 hours via direct deposit. (First Payout may take up to 7-10 Business days due United States regulated payment clearing and settlement laws)
7. To finish signing up, complete your user validation. We have partnered with third party vendor persona to securely validate all user identities via Government ID and Selfie Verification.
8. Once you have completed all onboarding steps (Completed Driver Profile, Completed Background report, and Identity Validation) you can expect a notice of Approval or Decline with in 2-3 business days via email.

Q: How can I change the information I provided at sign-up?
A: If you need to change any of the information you provided at sign-up, please contact support@plugd.net and provide us the necessary details so we can assist you with these updates.
Q: How can I sign up if I already have an existing Consumer account?
A: If you are signing up as a new PLUG’D Driver and have an existing Consumer account, these accounts will be seperate.
Q: I am a PLUG’D Consumer and tried to sign up to become a PLUG’D Driver with information that is different from the one in my consumer app. What can I do to finish the sign up process to become a PLUG’D Driver?
A: Follow the steps to complete the signup process.
Sign in using your customer account email address and password.
Complete two-factor authentication using your phone number or email address.
You will be successfully logged into your PLUG’D Driver account and can begin to create a profile.
Q: How can I change the email address and phone number in my PLUG’D Driver profile?
A: Once your PLUG’D Driver account is activated you can change your email address by signing in to your PLUG’D Driver App. Click the account icon (aka the person) at the bottom right of the screen and On the account page you will be able to change your email and phone number.
