Phenomenal Women

Kayla Chevis

Kayla Chevis 24 year old, native of Atlanta, received her BS in Urban Community Health from Rhodes College in 2019. Currently, she is pursuing her BS in Nursing at The University Of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN.

With a background in community health and nursing, she hopes to create positive change in the lives of children. An admirable goal for an even more admirable person.

If those that knew Kayla could summarize the qualities of her character, in one word, I believe they’d label her a spark. Why a spark? Well as Gabriel Benn once said, “I'm the spark that makes your idea bright. The same spark that lights the dark, so that you can know your left from your right,” with this in mind, what better way is their to describe a woman so fervently dedicated to changing the lives of others. For years it has been this unwavering passion, fueled by faith, that has propelled her forward.

Forward, to heightened levels of self perception, forward, pass the mental, emotional, and physical deterrents of life, forward, into that long coveted space-fulfillment. Some have died for it, others spend their lives in search of it, even fewer obtain it.

Fulfillment, the most coveted form success can take. So, Ms. Chevis from the PLUG’D family to you continue to be fulfilled by the journey as much as the destination.

Ayanna Martin

Born in Mississippi, raised in Memphis, Ayanna Martin’s story is better told as a testimony. Walking by faith and not by sight has lead her to attract the eyes of many supporters. Ayanna still in her early 20’s is already an accomplished author and owner/creator of her own clothing brand, Worthee Apparel. Her success and walk with Christ is a daily reminder to me that faith plus works lives on. Amen. Blessed and highly favored, Ayanna’s anointing is contagious, I believe it influences the lives of everyone around her.
